"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift."
Albert Einstein
This is a great quote from Albert Einstein. It actually says - and I think everybody can confirm this - that society, mankind is trying to solve the problems and questions arising today from a personal scale right up to the big questions of mankind, like climate change - with the rational mind being in charge, being the master, the decision maker. As far as I can see in the public discussion, every issue and every attempt to solve these issues is done nearly solely from the perspective of the rational mind as being the "ultima ratio", the authority from where the problems can be solved. In contrast to this, Einstein states that the rational mind ought to be treated as the servant, the faithful servant - because this is the reality of what it is - and things should be taken into consideration from the perspective of the intuitive mind as master in order to find a solution, while the rational mind should serve with its capabilities in finding a solution.
He implies that this is the base to solve the questions and problems of reality and I would say, he implies even a further step: the problems, our unsolved issues arise because the rational mind is acting as master, has been made to be the master by mankind and thus is creating the problems we now have.
If you now take Einsteins point of view into your own consideration and reflect back to the problems we have to solve as mankind as well as your own, maybe very demanding questions within your personal life: where lies the path to follow, if you, if we want to solve these problems from out of the root they arise? What if they really arise because the intuitive mind is not properly developed to be the master of the rational mind and therefor these problems can only be solved by developing it to be the master? What if this is the root of the questions we are facing and solving these can only be done by developing the intuitive mind to be the master and the rational mind the servant?
I very much not only believe so, but I am convinced down to my core, that this is the case and even further: that the situation mankind is placed into, is a motor, is a demanding and - at the same time - great opportunity to develop these skills, these intuitive skills. What if the balance we are searching for, the balance which seems to dissolve in nature and society is in its core a question of gaining the balance of the intuitive mind and the rational mind, of right and left brain hemisphere, or put into other words: what if the seemingly lost balance in the world is only an expression of the lost balance between intuitive and rational mind inside of mankind and thus can only be solved by bringing these two into their natural balance, with the intuitive mind as master and the rational mind as a faithful servant as Einstein expresses? What would this mean for the perspective of solving our problems?
Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
